Hi, I’m Alex and I will be your host in this adventure of Lucha Libre with a local guide. I’m from Arizona, now living permanently in Mexico City.

Passionate about Lucha Libre and football. I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Alex Kadhi

First venue

Taquería El Caifán

After we met in front Taquería El Caifán, we’re going to have the first round of national beers and taste Tacos al Pastor while talking about history, rules and context of Lucha Libre.

The first drink and two tacos or one quesadilla as veggie option are included in the experience. Another expenses are on you.

At the right moment, we are going to get to Hidalgo Station of the Metrobus System to travel a couple of stations away to get to the Arena. The cost of the trip it’s on me.

Welcome to Arena Mexico

After the first round of beers, we will head to Arena Mexico through Metrobús. We may do a quick look to the market first. I want you to watch all the mask, shirts, capes and all the colored wrestling swag they sell. If you want to buy something, let me know to get you a fair price. Then we’re going to get into the Arena to select our seats and order anything you need before starting the show.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The meeting spot, it’s in the middle of the most safe blocks in Mexico’s City Downtown. All the way from Zocalo Square trough Paseo Madero and Juarez Avenue from Palacio de Bellas Artes, Alameda Central, Hemiciclo a Juarez until Tacos El Caifan in Balderas Street is a very safe place to walk almost anytime.

No. Arena Mexico have shows weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. So every saturday the experience will be held at Arena Coliseo.

Both Arenas: Mexico and Coliseo does not allow to get in with professional cameras or sports cameras (as GoPro and similars).

I recommend not to bring it to the show, but if you come from an all day long trip or another tour and you have it with you, there is a storage at the Arenas where you can save it for free during the show and pick it up at the end. This service has no cost.

The location of the seats it’s variable following the next consideration:

  • Time between the booking and the date of the show
  • Whether it’s a standard show or a special season event
  • The venue. Tuesday, friday and sunday shows are at Arena México and the seats are usually from Ring 6-8 zone (rows 19-27). Saturday it’s at Arena Coliseo, and I always try to get tickets at general ringside. Both have a really, really great view, I can guarantee you that. (Traditionally Rows 6-14)

On special or season event, the location would depend on the availability and the prices. They often go up 4x to 6x of the normal rates. And that’s why the prices on some days are higher than others at the Airbnb calendar page.

Last minute bookings: may not have either the seats on the same area as the previous bookings nor on the regular rows. It will depend on the availability at the venue. Still, they’re going to be ring-side seats with great view, but it won’t change the pricing of the experience for the day.

We schedule our tours so that each person receives the utmost experience. That’s why it is very important that you keep your scheduled appointment with us and arrive on time.

NO SHOW

If a single guest or a complete group does not show up at the meeting spot on time and at the time the experience kicks-off, it will be considered a NO SHOW. If you do not show up for the scheduled tour, no refund will be issued, as our ability to fill the seat(s) will have been lost.

LATE ARRIVAL

Things happen. We know it. So if you consider you won’t be able to make it on time to the meeting spot, please offer courtesy and let us know. We understand and want to make things work.

In the case of late arrival without previous notice to the host from an Individual Guest or Group Booking. We would honor a 30 min grace period from the start of the tour.

In the case of late arrival with or without previous notice to the host from an Individual Guest or Group Booking on a Shared Booking date – the experience will not be delayed and will start on time. If this is the case, an option to rebook for the next available shared group booking will be made available.

In both cases, if you skip part of the scheduled tour experience, no refund will be issued for any part of the tour including tacos, beer, transportation and other accrued costs, as our ability to fill the seat(s) will have been lost.

However, you will always be able to keep your admission ticket to the Lucha Libre show and the free mask that is included as a souvenir.

Group Descriptions:

  • Individual Guest is considered one person who books the experience on a date where no other person booked. So it’s just one person served.
  • Group Booking is considered two or more individuals who book the experience together as a single group of friends, co-workers or fellows. But the date isn’t dependent on other groups attending the same schedule.
  • Shared Booking where random guests attend the same date. Shared bookings are considered cases where two or more bookings are made with random people and are available until the tour capacity has been reached.
